Kirk Cousins says the trade that sent Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills has worked out well for the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings acquired the Bills' 2020 first-round pick in the deal, which they used to select Justin Jefferson. He immediately filled the void left behind by Diggs.

"I think it's one that's worked out for everybody involved," Cousins said. “Stefon was looking for a different opportunity, and his production in Buffalo would suggest that's worked out very well for him. ... Being able to get Justin made it sting a little less, with the way Justin's played. But make no mistake about it, Stefon is an elite receiver, he's shown that here, he's shown that there, and he's doing it again this year, and it doesn't surprise me in the least, having played with him."

A number of teams inquired with the Arizona Cardinals about the availability of DeAndre Hopkins before last week's trade deadline, according to a report.

The Cardinals weren't willing to trade Hopkins, who missed the first six weeks of the season because of a suspension.

In just three games, Hopkins has 26 receptions for 298 yards and two touchdowns.

Cam Akers practiced with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday for the first time in several weeks.

The Rams and the running back resolved to move forward after trade talks failed to result in a deal before this week's deadline.

Sean McVay said on Wednesday that he and Akers had a good conversation as they tried to work through what were described as "philosophical and football-related differences."

"I'm in-house," Akers said. "I'm back with the team, so I'm happy."

The Los Angeles Rams turned down multiple trade offers for Cam Akers, according to a report.

The Rams now hope Akers will play for them again this season.

The running back was one of the top names expected to be dealt before the NFL's trade deadline on Tuesday.

Akers has been inactive over the past two games due to what the team called personal reasons. 

The Buffalo Bills have acquired Nyheim Hines from the Indianapolis Colts.

Hines has been the backup running back and third down option for the Colts behind Jonathan Taylor.

The Miami Dolphins have acquired Jeff Wilson from the San Francisco 49ers for a 2023 fifth round pick.

Wilson became expendable for the 49ers after their trade for Christian McCaffery. 

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to acquire Calvin Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons.

The 2024 fourth rounder going to Atlanta will remain as such if he is on Jacksonville's roster, it will improve to a third if he reaches certain incentives, and it will become a second if he signs a contract extension.

Ridley is suspended for the entire 2022 season.

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to acquire Bradley Chubb from the Denver Broncos for a first round pick from the 49ers, a fourth round pick in 2024, and Chase Edmonds. The Dolphins will also acquire a 2025 fifth rounder.

The Dolphins are expected to sign Chubb to a long-term contract.

The Minnesota Vikings have acquired T.J. Hockenson from the Detroit Lions for a 2023 second round pick and a 2024 third round pick. The Vikings will also acquire a 2023 fourth round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth round pick.

The Vikings have a 6-1 record while the Lions are 1-6.

Hockenson has caught 26 balls for 395 yards and three touchdowns this season at tight end for the Lions. 

A number of clubs have called the Indianapolis Colts about Nyheim Hines as the trade deadline looms, according to a report.

Hines is averaging 32 scrimmage yards per game this season. His 188 receiving yards currently rank fourth on the team.
